Illinois-based Springfield Armory this week announced an important upgrade to their high-profile micro-9 pistol, the Hellcat, upping the magazine capacity to 15+1.

The new magazines are only slightly longer (0.28-inches taller) than the 13-round extended mags already available and will be in stock shortly with SA dealers and outlets. The mags are stainless steel construction with an extended floor-plate pattern that matches the Adaptive Grip Texture of the Hellcat's frame. For reference, the standard Hellcat mag has an 11-round capacity.

“This magazine offers Hellcat owners the ability to increase the total capacity of their pistol by two rounds or to carry a larger 15-round mag as a back-up,” says Steve Kramer, vice president of marketing for Springfield Armory. “This increased capacity puts the Hellcat platform even further beyond its competitors and means users can carry with even greater confidence.”

Offered in both black and Desert FDE, the MSRP on the 15-round Springfield Armory Hellcat mags is $39.95.
