DeSantis Rolls 3 New Holsters for SIG Sauer P365-XMacro
DeSantis Gunhide has answered the call for those using the new and uniquely-sized XMacro grip module with a trio of new holsters.
SIG debuted the latest – and largest – P365 variant in August and, while a great design, it didn't fit legacy holster molds as it was the first to include a true M1913 accessory rail. Now that the gunmaker has made the grip module itself available to the market for those who already have a P365 fire control unit, the news from DeSantis is well-timed.
The new holster fits for the P365-XMacro include variants of the Kydex #137 Slim-Tuk for the IWB crowd along with the more old-school leather OWB #001 Thumb Break Scabbard and #002 Speed Scabbard. All accommodate the pistol either with or without a micro-red dot optic installed.
Optimized for inside-the-waistband carry, the DeSantis Slim-Tuk uses a tuckable 360° C-Clip, which affords the wearer a ton of different mounting options. The hardware can also be reversed to change from right to left. CRKT CEO not included. (All photos: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
The Thumb Break Scabbard rides high and is presented at what DeSantis describes as an optimum draw angle. Its thumb break and exact molding, together with a tension device, allow for a secure and concealable carry if using a cover garment. Besides use by LE personnel, lots of folks who open carry or who carry a sidearm while hunting or riding seek out thumb-break holsters for retention. Belt slots are 1.75 inches wide. The holster maker offers it in black or tan leather with or without suede lining, plain, or basket-weave finish, with the latter options having a longer lead-time. It pairs nicely with a True Mycro or other "Clinch Pick" style blades.
The Speed Scabbard is designed to meet the needs of plainclothes professionals preferring a holster without a thumb break while still providing firearm retention. This is accomplished with precise molding and a tension-screw device on most models. As with the Thumb Break Scabbard, belt slots are 1.75 inches wide. Not included is the Boker Brad Zinker Urban Trapper.
