We caught up with Bear Creek Arsenal at SHOT Show 2023 to check out the newest AR hunting platform on the market – the Huntmaster line. This beefed-up AR is bigger than the traditional AR-10 and uses an oversized lower that is designed to accommodate rounds like .30-06, 7mm Win Mag, .270 Win, and .300 Win Mag.

The Huntmaster lower will be compatible with two different styles of magazines designed around the hard-hitting cartridges offered in this lineup. The upper is a side-charging AR that features a slim M-LOK rail and a massive muzzle brake that has shown a 40-percent reduction in felt recoil.

The rifle is very ergonomic and light, considering the heavy chamberings that the guns are designed around. Bear Creek plans to also beat the competition when it comes to price, suggesting a planned MSRP of between $1,800 to $2,200.

I mean, come on, is that a muzzle brake or mini military bunker? At a 40-percent reduction in felt recoil, we'll take it! (Photo: Seth Rogers/Guns.com)

This new Huntmaster AR line will be available toward the end of Q2 2023.
