European American Armory came to SHOT Show with a polymer-framed double-stack 2011-style pistol that hits the catalog at just $999.

EAA's new 2311 Witness series is made with a top half produced by Turkey's Girsan, a company that has been in the 1911 biz for years, while the frame is made here in the U.S. by Cosaint Arms of East Flat Rock, North Carolina. EAA told us they plan to make the series in 9mm (17+1 round capacity), 45 ACP (11+1 round capacity) and 10mm Auto (15+1 round capacity) and in 3.5-inch barreled Officer, 4.25-inch Commander, 5-inch Government, and 6-inch Longslide Hunter configurations.

Further, there will be optics-ready models with a Holosun K/Shield RMSc footprint.

MSRP on the new EAA 2311 Witness series is expected to start at $999 with the first guns shipping to dealers in April. At that, it will be the most affordable 2011-style pistol on the market.
