Those on the fence about picking a Hellcat Pro for their everyday carry piece since it didn't have a manual safety lever just lost their excuse.

Springfield Armory this week announced a new model of its well-liked 15+1 shot micro compact 9mm pistol, complete with an ambidextrous frame-mounted manual safety. All the other standard features on the Hellcat Pro remain the same, including its optics-ready slide with co-witnessing U-Dot tritium sights, lightweight polymer frame, front and rear slide serrations, and slim layout.

"The Hellcat Pro delivers full-size performance in a concealable, EDC-ready package with unmatched ergonomics," said Steve Kramer, Springer's VP of Marketing, in a statement. "And for those who prefer a manual safety on their carry pistol, this newest variant gives them everything they could want in a CCW pistol."

The Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro with manual safety has an MSRP of $649.
