The Winchester Model 1873 was a wildly successful rifle that was chambered in .44-40 caliber. In 1878, Colt chambered their equally successful 1873 Single Action Army revolver in .44-40 as well. This allowed for much greater ease of use.

In 1983, Colt and Winchester teamed up to make a beautiful rifle and revolver Commemorative Match Set to celebrate the uniting of the company's two incredibly popular firearms.

This cased Colt and Winchester Commemorative Match Set includes a Colt 1873 SAA and an 1894 Winchester. Both are chambered in .44-40 WCF. Both are tastefully engraved with 18-carat gold highlights and come in a fitted solid oak case with the Colt and Winchester gilt medallions. Both are unfired and in perfect condition.
