Model 1416

The Anschutz Model 1416 is a bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .22 LR. The best competitive shooters in national, international and Olympic shooting events commonly use Anschutz rifles. There are two sub-models of the 1416: the D KL and D HB. The only difference between the two, the D HB has a heavy barrel.

The 1416 uses a Match 64 action, where the bolt lever rotates on a cylinder and allows the shooter re-chamber with little movement. It also uses a cam cocking firing pin system that locks in place and won’t strike a round until the bolt lever is completely closed. It has a claw extractor and an additional cartridge holder and ejector, which helps ejects cases consistently. Its two-stage match trigger, which gives extra tension in the pull, corresponds with Anschutz’s competitive-grade trigger design. Its wooden stock makes it lightweight and very German in appearance.

Anschutz recommends Model 1416 for leisure, sport, competitive shooting, and to hunt varmint or small game.
