BPS Hunter Series
The Browning Pump Shotgun Hunter is, of course, a pump-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, 16 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge and .410. The BPS Hunter variants comprise one of 12 shotgun sets in Browning’s BPS line. What makes it unique is that it offers five different shells and offers two barrel sizes: 48.75″ and 46.75″ (however, the .410 is only available with 46.75 inch barrel).
Features include interchangeable proprietary Invector-Plus brand choke tubes and Top-Tang safety. The BPS Hunter 12 and 20 gauges use a back-bored barrel, a process that increases bore diameter resulting in higher shot velocity, reduced recoil, and more uniform shot patterns.
Common features to all BPS models include a bottom ejection port for ambidextrous shooting capabilities. All BPS models also have a speed unloading system that allows cartridges to be ejected without cycling them through the action. By simply depressing the shell stop, cartridges will be ejected from the bottom ejection port. And all receivers are forged and machined steel for increased durability.
