1911-22
The Chiappa 1911-22 is a semi-automatic large-frame pistol chambered in .22 LR. The 1911-22 is a replica of the famous military issued pistol, which is normally chambered for a .45 caliber cartridge. Almost all the features are identical to the M1911 such as weight, size, steel frame, fixed sights, and safety lever and magazine release located on the left side.
What makes it different, besides being a .22, is it has a fixed barrel, so the barrel is locked into the frame. And, its cost is comparable to a .22-caliber conversion kit or around $315. Chiappa recommends the 1911-22 for leisure and sport shooting.
