Marlin 1894

The Marlin Model 1894 is a lever-action carbine chambered in .44 Rem. Mag. The Model 1894 is one of five centerfire rifles produced in Marlin’s 1894 series.

The 1894 features a 20″ barrel, which puts the overall length at 37.5″, and it holds 10 rounds in a tubular magazine. The barrel and receiver are made of steel and have a blued finish. The blued barrel has undergone Ballard-type rifling, which carves six deep and wide grooves that are supposed to help improve accuracy on high-power rifles. It’s a slow process that puts almost no stress on the metal. The 1894’s stock is made of American black walnut and has checkering on the fore-end and its straight grip. The 1894 also employs an adjustable folding rear sight with a ramp front sight with brass bead and Wide-Scan brand hood.

Marlin recommends the Model 1894 for hunting large game.
