Marlin 1894C

The Marlin Model 1894C is a lever-action carbine chambered in .357 Mag. or .38 Special. The Model 1894C is one of five centerfire rifles produced in Marlin’s 1894 series. What makes the 1894C different from the standard Model 1894 is it has a shorter barrel.

Features include an 18.5″ barrel, which puts the overall length at 36″, and it holds 9 rounds in its tubular magazine. The barrel and receiver are made of steel and have a blued finish. The barrel has undergone Ballard-type rifling, which carves six deep and wide grooves into the bore that are supposed to help improve accuracy on high-power rifles. It’s a slow process that puts almost no stress on the metal.

The stock is made of American black walnut and has checkering on the fore-end and on the straight grip. The 1894C also employs an adjustable folding rear sight with a ramp front sight with brass bead and Wide-Scan brand hood.
