Model 770

The Remington Model 770 is a bolt-action hunting rifle chambered for seven different cartridges. The M770 is an updated version of the M710, which was an economic version of the M700. The M710, however, suffered harsh criticism and several complaints. In conclusion, many blamed the plastic internal components for poor functionality in turn destroying its credibility, so Remington discontinued it. Yet, producing a less expensive model of a top-notch rifle is usually a popular idea, so Remington introduced the M770. It has a synthetic stock and is available with a black finish or a real tree camo finish and comes with a pre-mounted scope. Some components were changed to steel like the magazine latch, but others are still plastic. Remington recommends the M770 for novice shooters to hunt small and large game or leisure shooting.
