Mark III Standard

The Ruger Mark III Standard is a semi-automatic large-frame pistol chambered in .22 LR. The Mark III Standard is one of five economical sporting pistols in Ruger’s Mark III Series and they look similar to the Luger, a German military pistol. The Standard is, of course, the base model of the series.

The Mark III is blowback operated, meaning the initial explosion of the cartridge
powers the cycling. It uses an internal cylindrical bolt for its action.
How it’s different from a standard design is it recoils out of the
pistol instead of pushing a slide back.

The Mark III Standard features alloy steel construction, and available with either a 4.75″ or 6″ barrel. The Mark III Standard is equipped with a loaded chamber indicator that offers both visual (red mark) and tactile (protruding notch) indicators. The Mark III Standard has a fixed notch and blade sight system. Additional features include checkered grip panels and a manual safety. A magazine disconnect feature prohibits the gun from firing when the magazine is released. The Mark III Standard includes two 10-round magazines and a hard plastic case.

Ruger recommends the Mark III Standard for general handgun applications.
