Model 11 Lightweight Hunter

The Savage Model 11 Lightweight Hunter is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Rem., .243 Win., 7mm-08 Rem., .308 Win., .260 Rem., and 6.5 Creedmoor. The Model 11 Lightweight Hunter is one of 14 rifles in Savage’s Specialty Series. Savage Arms was founded in 1894, and is headquartered in Westfield, Massachusetts.

The Lightweight Hunter features a black carbon steel barrel and an oil-finished walnut stock. Weight-reducing features include a vented forearm and a spiral-fluted bolt. Additional features include a detachable box magazine, checkered grips and fore-end; swivel studs, and Savage’s AccuTrigger system. The AccuTrigger system features a dual-stage trigger design in which the first (vented) trigger acts to disengage a safety mechanism. Once this occurs, the second trigger can be depressed in order to activate the firing pin – the trigger assembly is also user-adjustable for weight of pull. The Model 11 Lightweight Hunter is drilled and tapped for scope mounts.

Savage recommends the Lightweight Hunter for general hunting.
