Model 12 LRPV

The Savage Model 12 LRPV is a bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 6mm Norma BR, .223 Rem., and .22-250 Rem. The Model 12 LRPV is one of nine rifles in Savage’s Varmint 12 Series. Savage Arms was founded in 1894, and is headquartered in Westfield, Massachusetts.

The LRPV features a fluted for reduced weight and rapid heat dissipation. The LRPV utilizes a synthetic stock finished in matte black. Additional features include a single-shot magazine, swivel studs, and Savage’s AccuTrigger system. The AccuTrigger system features a dual-stage trigger design. The first (vented) trigger acts to disengage a safety mechanism, allowing the second trigger to be depressed in order to activate the firing pin. The trigger assembly is also user-adjustable for weight of pull. The Model 12 LRPV is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The LRPV is unique in that it houses  an ejection port on the right side of the gun (where the bolt handle also rests) and a loading port on the left side.

Savage recommends the Model 12 LRPV for varmint/general hunting.
