Model 12 VLP DBM

The Savage Model 12 VLP DBM is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .300 WSM, .223 Rem., .204 Ruger, .22-250 Rem., .243 Rem., and .308 Win. calibers. The Model 12 VLP DBM is one of nine rifles in Savage’s Varmint 12 Series. Savage Arms was founded in 1894, and is headquartered in Westfield, Massachusetts.

The VLP DBM  features a fluted barrel for reduced weight and rapid heat dissipation. The VLP DBM also includes a wood laminate stock finished in natural satin.  Additional features include a drop-box magazine, swivel studs, and Savage’s AccuTrigger system. The AccuTrigger system features a dual-stage trigger design. The first (vented) trigger acts to disengage a safety mechanism, allowing the second trigger to be depressed in order to activate the firing pin. The trigger assembly is also user-adjustable for weight of pull. The Model 12 VLP DBM is drilled and tapped for scope mounts.

Savage recommends the Model 12 VLP DBM for varmint/general hunting. A left hand version is available for $1021 in .204 Ruger, .223 Rem., and .22-250 Rem.
