Model 25 Walking Varminter

The Savage Model 25 Walking Varminter is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .204 Ruger, .22 Hornet, and .223 Rem., .222 Rem., and 5.7x28mm. The Model 25 Walking Varminter is one of 3 firearms in Savage’s Lightweight Varminter Series. Savage Arms was founded in 1894, and is headquartered in Westfield, Massachusetts.

The Model 25 Walking Varminter features a blued carbon steel barrel and a matte black synthetic stock. Additional features include a detachable box magazine and swivel studs. The Model 25 Walking Varminter also utilizes Savage’s AccuTrigger system. This inclusion features a dual-stage trigger design in which the first (vented) trigger acts to disengage a safety mechanism. Once this occurs, the second trigger can be depressed in order to activate the firing pin – the trigger assembly is also user-adjustable for weight of pull.

The Model 25 Walking Varminter is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, and is recommeneded by Savage for general hunting.
