Athena D'Italia III O/U
The Weatherby Athena D’Italia III is an over-under shotgun chambered in 12 gauge and 20 gauge. Weatherby is an American gun manufacturer founded in 1945 by Roy Weatherby, headquartered in Paso Robles, California.
The Athena D’Italia III features automatic ejectors that discharge spent shells when the receiver is opened; unfired shells are raised for easy extraction. The Athena D’Italia III also features Weatherby’s patented four-lock action.
This action includes four points of engagement between the receiver and barrel, resulting in increased durability and a snug fit between components.
A single-inertia trigger means that once the gun is fired, the trigger is automatically reset and made ready to fire the second barrel. The trigger is also gold-plated for corrosion resistance.
The Athena D’Italia III also includes vented top and mid ribs, a checkered walnut stock and fore-end finished in high-luster urethane. The Athena D’Italia III also includes chromed false side-plates featuring a game bird scene in gold plate overlay.
