Model 70 Ultimate Shadow

The Winchester Model 70 Ultimate Shadow is a bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 12 cartridges, including three Winchester Short Magnum calibers. Winchester introduced the M70 in 1936 and it has been modified and updated throughout the years. What makes the Ultimate Shadow different from other models is its rubberized gripping surfaces and lightweight frame.

Features include a blued free floating barrel to eliminate barrel-to-stock contact when firing, a design element that increases durability. Its three-position safety system allows shooters to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety engaged. It has Winchester’s popular MOA trigger system. The engineering of the MOA system is meant to minimize excessive movement in the trigger mechanism during firing, resulting in a decrease in shooter error. This system also allows the owner to individually tune the trigger by tightening or loosening a set of screws.

Winchester recommends the Ultimate Shadow for hunting in rugged terrain and adverse weather conditions.
