Up for sale is a DWM 1918 Luger P08 chambered in 9mm. This original World War I German military sidearm is a solid shooter or collector-grade example that retains matching serial numbers throughout the pistol, with the exception of the magazine.
Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen-und-Munitionsfabriken (DWM) and dated 1918 on the chamber, this pistol represents the final year of German production during the First World War. The firearm remains mechanically complete and is an excellent candidate for the collector seeking an original wartime Luger without the premium price associated with higher-condition examples.
The pistol is all matching except for the magazine. Included is one period-correct magazine that is appropriate for the era but does not match the gun's serial number.
The bore is dark and exhibits visible pitting from age and use. Rifling remains present, and the pistol is still shootable, but the bore condition should be considered fair and is reflected in the overall condition of the firearm.
Features:
Original DWM-manufactured Luger P08
Chamber dated 1918
Chambered in 9mm
Matching serial numbers throughout the pistol
Period-correct non-matching magazine included
Original WWI military configuration
Historic collector firearm
Condition:
Overall condition is fair. The pistol shows honest wear from military service and more than a century of age. Finish wear, handling marks, and patina are present throughout. Markings remain visible, and the pistol retains its historical character. The bore is dark with pitting but remains shootable. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description and best represent the condition of this firearm.
This is a great opportunity to own an original World War I DWM 1918 Luger at an accessible price point. Whether you're adding to a military collection, seeking a representative WWI sidearm, or looking for a historic shooter, this P08 offers undeniable historical significance and collector appeal.

Shopping at Guns.com gives you the backing of a company that is committed to your satisfaction. And unlike our competitors, it extends beyond the buying process. We get the FFL from your store – others make you find it, copy it, and fax it. We have a generous return policy, and handle everything – you don’t have to go back to the store. And our Rangemasters are here to answer all your questions about our products or process. We're bringing a level of service to the online gun buying experience that is unheard of.
Many online gun sales actually take away from your local community. Instead of buying a gun that’s on your local store’s shelf, most retailers drop ship it from a warehouse in another state. At Guns.com, if an FFL is part of our network, we sell THEIR guns first whenever possible. That way, we’re helping small businesses in your community AND if they have it in stock, you can pick your gun up IMMEDIATELY – it’s how business should be done.
Most everything can be easily bought online these days. But for some reason, buying a gun online can be complicated. Most websites are poorly organized, don’t tell you a lot about what you’re buying, and leave you on your own to figure out what you want. Guns.com is built to be simple – easily organized products, useful descriptions from experts, and support to guide you to the right choice. Spend your time enjoying the gun you want, not getting frustrated with a complex website that makes gun buying hard.
