Alabama-based Kimber, on the lead up to the NRA Show next month, is promising a new concealed carry pistol with "industry-leading capacity."

With a promised unveil of Aug. 19, Kimber has been dropping breadcrumbs over the past couple of weeks about the new model.

At the end of July, the company posted on social media, "Kimber asked what you wanted in a concealed carry pistol: You answered. We heard lightweight and reliable right out of the gate. Then things got more interesting, like this suggestion from Terry Swinney. More sight options. More optic options. More capacity. Stay tuned, because you’re about to get more than you expected."

On Friday, Kimber followed up with an image of an empty semi-auto pistol case with two magazine slots and the aforementioned August 19 delivery date.

"You asked for more rounds in a concealed carry handgun. Get ready for a new Kimber with industry-leading capacity and so much more," noted the company.
