Florida-based Kalashnikov USA has a stack of new firearm models for AK fans eager for something fresh in 2022.

KR-104

The company was on hand at SHOT Show in Las Vegas last month with new models including the 7.62x39mm KR-104 in both a 12.25-inch short-barreled rifle and pistol format.

Using standard 124-grain FMJ ammo, the KR-104 will produce muzzle velocities of approximately 2,200 feet per second (FPS) as compared to 2,350 FPS with the standard 16.3-inch barreled KR-103.

KR-101

Also on exhibit was the KR-101. a 5.56mm NATO caliber rifle based on the famed AK-101 platform.

A 12-inch barreled pistol version, dubbed the KP-102, should be along by early summer 2022. The company is also spooling up to produce 5.45x39mm semi-auto firearms, the KR-74M rifle and KP-105 pistol, later this year.

KHAOS 12

KUSA also had its new KHAOS 12 gauge semi-auto firearm at SHOT Show 2022 to include a speed loading device that allows the gun to be loaded while the bolt is closed, a departure from standard Saiga-style shotguns.
