Israel's IWI took advantage of an international defense show in Latin America to debut a new precision rifle variant of the ACE rifle.

While at FIDAE, a large show in Santiago, Chile, this week, IWI had the new ACE Sniper S.A rifle on display. Based on the company's Galil ACE platform, the new model is designed to reach out a little further and carries a 23-inch hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel with a 1:9.5-inch twist and is chambered in 7.62 NATO. The semi-auto rifle runs a full-length Picatinny top rail, has a handguard with multiple M-LOK accessory slots, and accepts 20-round magazines.

The new IWI ACE Sniper S.A has a lot of features including an on-board bipod, a side-folding adjustable stock, and what appears to be the capability to use SR-25 magazines.

"First and foremost, the development of the new sniper rifle meets the user’s need for fast and accurate operation, even in challenging and changing environments, such as CQB zones, and while vehicles are on the move," said Ronen Hamudot, Executive VP of Marketing and Sales at SK Group, the parent company of IWI. "In addition to the advanced features like the adjustable butt, the floating barrel, and the two-stage trigger mechanism, the sniper rifle also includes a safety mechanism for user protection."

While IWI US does not have the new rifle on the website, hopefully, they will be inbound in a sporting format from Israel shortly.

As for field use, IWI is a ready and frequent supplier to not only the Israeli military but also armies and special operations units in India, Chile, Colombia, Ukraine, and elsewhere, and Hamudot says the newest sniper variant is already on the job.
