In today’s market, it is hard to find a better deal than a sub $150 shotgun, but that is exactly what GForce Arms brings to the table. With the power of the 12-gauge shell paired with the reliability of the pump-action shotgun, it’s hard to pass up on this deal, especially if you want to stow away a gun for a rainy day.

Changing Times and Uncertainty

The modern world continues to become more uncertain, and things continue to rise in price, causing concerns and financial pinches for many people. The past few years have proved to be extremely challenging from riots and shortages to lockdowns. Safety and security are two things that are easily taken for granted when they are bountiful, and they are extremely hard to secure when times are tough. There is also always the thought of the money being set aside for preparedness for “what if” scenarios.

What if there was a way to procure an inexpensive path to emergency security? Well, with the GForce Arms GF3T and GF2P (or a combination of them both), this quest is easily concluded. With both of these shotguns maintaining a price below $150, it makes them great candidates to buy and store away until they are needed.

The GForce Shotgun

Shotguns are used for a variety of different tasks, from hunting, knocking down sporting clays, and even home defense.

Both the GF2P and the GF3T are pistol-grip style 12-gauge shotguns that feature a 3-inch chamber, a 20-inch barrel, and a cylinder bore, ideal for personal defense. The traditional pump-action design is simple and reliable, making them great candidates to call upon in a time of need.

The 12-gauge chambering is devastating to anything that crosses it, and the action is easy to cycle regardless of your experience level. The best part about these guns is how simple they are and the fact that they are priced so competitively. You can hardly feel bad about spending less than $150 for a shotgun.

Why Not Bury It?

Given the price, we decided to get creative. Concealing an emergency firearm is a great way to keep you and the firearm safe for when the time comes to need it. Never knowing where or when disaster will strike is a difficult thing to prepare for, and keeping a shotgun buried and hidden is a great way to score some insurance for the hour of concern. Burying this safety deposit is a way to keep it concealed and separated from a house or structure that is vulnerable to looting, hazards, or general calamity.

How To Keep It Buried and Safe

There is value in spending some money on a quality case to store firearms, especially if the goal is to protect them from unpredictable environments. Two brands of cases that stand out for their quality and sturdy build are Boyt Harness and Pelican. Pelican is often found among the ranks of the military, police, and professional shooters, as it has a proven track record and design that can withstand whatever you throw at it.

The Boyt Harness is an airtight, O-ring sealed case that features a tight lock up, wheels for easy movement, and a heavy duty construction to protect its contents.

The Pelican Storm is also an airtight, O-ring sealed case that features a tight lockup that is easily actuated and a heavy duty construction.

Both of these cases offer plenty of space, not just for the shotgun, but for ammo, emergency food rations, batteries, lights, and any other crisis supplies that may be needed. The O-ring seal keeps water and other elements from entering into the case, protecting the contents from corrosion. Also, there is foam padding to further ensure that there is a malleable cushion to safeguard from any damage.

To showcase the benefit of a sturdy case, we buried one control shotgun in a bag that was wrapped in a tarp. This will show how the elements penetrate the barrier over time through the case. It will also show if it will eat away at the shotgun. The initial reaction to spending a lot of money on a case can be a tough pill to swallow, but after letting these shotguns sit in the ground for several months, the value of the airtight case should become more apparent.

Check back in after a few months and see the results of the experiment!
