When Stallone asks you to make him a shotgun, you make a shotgun worthy of Stallone, right?

Beretta recently posted the details of a unique SO Sparviere (Italian = Sparrowhawk) for Sylvester Stallone. Made with walnut briarwood and Boehler Antinit steel, the series is part heirloom-quality firearm-as-art and part upland game shotgun even before any engraving is done.

This one-off creation by the Pietro Beretta Custom Atelier reportedly required between 800 and 900 hours of engraving work alone. 
 

"Our engravers, carrying a centuries-old tradition, employed a number of different of techniques to bring to life this masterpiece," said Beretta on the gun. "These include deep hammer and chisel, to reproduce two of the most memorable scenes from the Rocky movie saga; gold-inlays are also there, to recreate Sylvester Stallone’s signature on the stock; colored enamels were employed to recreate the USA flag and add other details, such as Rocky signature boxing gloves."
 

 

For reference, the side-by-side Sparviere series, introduced in 2014, starts at around $89k, but don't worry, they have lots of other SXS and OAU models available starting in the low four figures.  

Of course, we would have preferred to see Sly order a specialized "Nothing is Over" M60, for more obvious reasons.

Also, the NFA and Hughes Act should be repealed, just saying.
