More on the New Rock River Arms Ascendant Series AR Rifles
Built with premium LAR-15 components and sold complete with optics and mounts, the company's new Ascendant line offers a turnkey rifle solution.
We met up with Rock River Arms at the 152nd NRA Annual Meetings recently, company reps contend the new series is among the best-in-caliber AR-platform rifles for shooters who demand performance without the hassle of figuring out how to get there.
Launched in three caliber offerings– .223 Wylde, .350 Legend, and .450 Bushmaster – the All-Terrain Hunter rifles are built to maximize accuracy and performance.
The stainless-steel barrel features a matte finish to reduce glare in the field and is cryogenically treated for maximum stability and accuracy. The handguard is lightweight with a full-length Picatinny top rail for mounting optics. (Photo: Guns.com)
Ascendant rifles come with one of two Vortex optics: the Viper HS 4-16x44mm or the Strike Eagle 1-6x24mm, mounted on Rock River’s heavy-duty Hi-Rise Cantilever scope mount with 30mm rings. (Photo: Guns.com)
Furniture includes Magpul's new PRS Lite stock, which keeps weight down and allows the shooter to customize the fit with its adjustable length of pull and cheek riser.
MSRP starts at $3,020 for the model in .350 Legend and ranges up to $3,235 for the .223 Wylde, which is a bit spendy, but at least you get the glass and mounts as well as some nice features.
