Recently, we received a shipment of factory-blemished P50s being offered at a discount. The blemished models have minor scuffs and scratches on the finish. All of the wear is strictly cosmetic and does not affect the function of the handgun.
These factory-blemished guns are a great deal – and the P50 already comes in as one of the most affordable 5.7 handguns on the market.

The P50 is a unique pistol chambered for the zippy 5.7x28mm cartridge. In the 9.6-inch barrel of this handgun design, the standard 40-grain 5.7 round is traveling in excess of 2,300 feet per second. To put that in perspective, the 115-grain 9mm round in the same length barrel is traveling around 1,000 fps slower than the 5.7.
The handgun uses the same 50-round magazine designed for the FN PS90. With a threaded barrel, top and bottom Picatinny rails, and QD sling attachment points, the P50 is ready to mount a plethora of accessories.
The beavertail-like tab at rear is the mag release that opens the receiver to access the 50-round magazine. It works much like a break-action shotgun. Note the AR-15 style charging handle at top. (Photo: Zach Buth/Guns.com)
The KelTec firearm has a unique break-action magazine release, as the 50-round magazine sits horizontally between the upper and lower. The charging handle is reminiscent of the AR-15 and is mounted on the top rear of the upper assembly.
The factory-blemished KelTecs include a hard case, great for long-term storage or easy travel to the range. The P50 also includes two 50-round ProMag magazines, a sling with QD attachment points, and a plastic pistol lock.
Why the P50?
Few firearms on the market are chambered for this caliber, and even fewer have a standard 50-round capacity. The compact P50 is an uncommon handgun that competes at a much more affordable price point than many of the other options on the market.
Factory-blemished models are a great way to get a deal on a firearm that is in great working order. Firearms are tools, often getting scratched up and worn from use. So, much like buying a used car, there is a lot of value in securing a discount when you can.
KelTec is constantly pushing the boundary on firearm designs, not only offering unique layouts and operations, but also bringing affordable American-made products to their customers.
