The USCCA turned 20 years old this year and to mark the occasion decided to host the annual Concealed Carry Expo a short drive down the road from their HQ in Milwaukee. Members of the organization and the general public alike lined the Baird Center communes and jammed into side rooms for training sessions. Like a lot of expos and gun shows, you could see the latest and greatest from big manufacturers like SIG Sauer and Ruger, but the breakaway sessions and training heightened the sense of purpose for the show.

Over the course of a couple of days, I was able to listen to a number of diverse talks spanning everything from John Lott on crime and concealed carry statistics to a speech from Kevin Dixie regarding the systemic racism baked into all gun control. There aren't many other places you hear people like this talk while also getting training on home invasion response. For those who take concealed carry training seriously, this is a great place to be not only for these classes but also for some of the vendors that came to play.

Speaking of vendors, let's take a walk and see what there was to see at the 2023 Concealed Carry Expo.

Just happy to see some guns.
GOA showed up with some new swag and some old swag for members and non-members alike.
All the big players were there including SIG Sauer, showing off the new Rose.
Ruger and Trijicon also showed up.
We got a look at the new RMR HD – very nice.
Perhaps even more intriguing was the new SkeetIRx...
...which can be paired with a magnifier like you see here or by itself as a thermal monocle.
The interface and controls will be consistent with all other OASYS products.
Shadow Systems also showed up with its latest, the CR920P.
It features a compensator..
...yet is small enough for concealed carry work.
It sports many of the same features as the CR920.
HK also showed up...
...to lend a helping hand.
KelTec and our friend Hammer (on the right) were there, too. We also got a glimpse of what Hammer might look like in 50 years with the guy on the left.
Walk The Talk America was on hand to talk about mental health.
Laser Shot was there to help with training.
Cold Fire Training was showing off a cool dry-fire product that used compressed air to simulate recoil.
It was a packed house for the Home Invasion Response seminar.
There was also considerable interest in the attorney panel, which discussed real-life stories of self-defense incidents and their aftermath.
