On this week’s episode of Two Guys One Gun, the crew discusses a legendary handgun with seemingly mythical powers. The 1911 is one of John Moses Browning’s oldest and longest standing designs. This handgun features the “back-to-back world war champ” moniker, but is the pistol as good as it can be? 

There is no denying the pedigree of the .45 ACP and its extensive service record. However, why not spice it up? With the operating system over 100 years old, there are now a plethora of calibers available. From .22 to large Magnum revolver cartridges, the 1911 design can be modified to accommodate just about any pistol round.

Of course, some purists may hate this question, but why not have some fun with it? Of course, everyone should have a tradition 1911 in .45 ACP – but why limit yourself to just one caliber? This is America, after all, so you should just get one of everything.
