Barrett Firearms has been teasing its newest extreme long-range precision rifle system for months and just announced the MRADELR has been added to the company's 2024 catalog.
The Multi-Role Adaptive Design Extreme Long Range rifle, a bolt gun chambered in .416 Barrett and based on the company's MRAD, got an unofficial unveiling earlier this year when Team Barrett's Justin Wolf and spotter James Archer came in 2nd place among 69 international competitors at the 2023 King of 2 Miles competition at the NRA Whittington Center in September.
Notably, Barrett’s competing system was the only factory-configured rifle in this year’s competition-- one that typically highlights custom-built rifles.
"This rifle is a testament to our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in long-range shooting," said Bryan James, President of Barrett Firearms. "We look forward to sharing this innovation with the world at the 2024 SHOT Show and bringing the same capability to the hands of marksmen who demand nothing but the best."
The ships with two 5-round magazines, a bag rider, one accessory rail, and a hard carrying case. Offered in black, FDE and in Tungsten Grey Cerakote, the MRADELR has an MSRP of $9,995. This is about a $3K bump from the smaller legacy .30-caliber MRAD, which is chambered in .338 Lapua Mag, .338 Norma Mag, .300 Norma Mag, .300 PRC, .300 Win Mag, .308 Winchester, and 6.5 Creedmoor.
