Unboxing a Batch of Police Trade-In Glocks in .357 SIG
Seeing a police trade-in Glock is of no surprise to anyone, taking into account how popular Glocks are around the world. But today we have a bit of a novelty: some police trade-in Glocks chambered in .357 SIG.
We secured some .357 SIG Glock 31 Gen 4s and Glock 32 Gen 4s in a recent shipment and have a closer look for you.
Glock 31 and 32

The Glock 31 is a full-sized handgun with the same footprint as the Glock 17. Each gun includes two 15-round magazines. Most of these trade-ins come with the original backstraps, while there is a mixture of stock Glock sights and Glock night sights. Each handgun includes a hard case.
The G31s each come with two 15-round mags.
The guns have a mixture of Glock night sights, as seen on this G31, and stock Glock sights.
The Glock 32 is a compact handgun built on the same footprint as the Glock 19. This compact handgun has a magazine capacity of 13 rounds, and each handgun in this lot includes two magazines and a hard case. Some of the handguns include backstraps, and there is also a mixture of Glock stock sights and Glock night sights.

As 9mm and .40 S&W are the top caliber choices among law enforcement, it may seem a bit odd to see .357 SIG thrown in the mix. Although uncommon, there is a case to be made for .357 SIG bottleneck cartridges, which have the advantage of velocity and range.
The .357 SIG (left) and 9mm (right) rounds have similar bullet diameters, yet the .357 SIG case houses more powder and the bottleneck design focuses the increased energy down the barrel.
A Great Value
Glock is known as one of the most reliable brands on the market and is also famous for the sheer amount of aftermarket support and parts available for its firearms. While these two handguns are in a unique caliber, the Glock 17 and 19 footprints mean that finding holsters and accessories will be effortless.
As with all police trade-in handguns, there will be signs of cosmetic wear from use and holstering. There are a few different condition categories for the Glock 31s, while the Glock 32s are all in “very good” condition. This is a great chance to get a solid deal on a Glock that can deliver some increased power and distance over more standard chamberings.
We are always on the lookout for police-trade in firearms, as they bring a great value to the customer. Stay up to date with what’s new by checking the police trade-in tab on Guns.com.
