Immediately recognizable by his imposing physique, the former White House chef is widely known for his culinary prowess, military background, and dynamic social media presence. A former U.S. Army Master Sergeant who's now a leading advocate for veterans, Chef Rush does 2,222 pushups every day to promote a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. 
 

His reality TV show "Kitchen Commando" premiered in 2023 and is produced by Chef Gordon Ramsay. Through the show, Rush leverages his military expertise and culinary skills to revitalize struggling local restaurants across America, boosting local economies in the process.

Originally from rural Columbus, Mississippi, where he honed his skills in hunting, fishing, athletics, and, of course, learned to cook in his mother’s kitchen, Chef Rush served with distinction in the U.S. Army. He trained thousands of troops in hand-to-hand combat and the culinary arts, but his illustrious career culminated in his role as a White House chef, where he had the honor of serving meals to world leaders across four administrations.
