Tikka Throws Down Trump Card: New Ace-Series Precision Rimfire, Centerfire Rifles
It has been a while since we’ve seen big-letter news revolving around Tikka’s T-series bolt-action rifles, but 2025 is red hot. Tikka dropped its trump card at SHOT Show 2025 with a new lineup called Ace, upping the ante on both the T1x rimfire and T3x centerfire families.
We got our hands on all three model variants – the T1x Ace Target, T3x Ace Target, and T3x Ace Game – at the company’s hopping booth at SHOT Show in Las Vegas this year.
Here’s the scoop.
What’s Up With the Ace?

No matter the model, Tikka makes it clear that the Ace moniker indicates one thing: precision. All three Aces showcase the same modular chassis and stock compatibility, with adjustable length of pull and comb height. There’s also a vertical AR-style pistol grip.
The other major technology at play here is an interchangeable magazine well, allowing the use of multiple magazine types.
In the interest of targeting the precision and competition markets, the Ace’s features tilt the table in the longer-range shooter’s favor. There’s a 20-MOA Picatinny rail for optics mounting, along with both M-LOK and Arca Swiss attachment points for bipods, tripods, and other accessories.
All models will sit near – or at – the top of their respective T1x and T3x lineups. Ultimately, it’s clear the goal for the Ace series was to create a trio of out-of-the-box, precision-ready, competition-grade rifles. That includes models that should clear PRS Production Division as well as multiple National Rifle League entries.
T1x Ace Target: Rimfire

That’s right, folks. Tikka put out a precision rimfire as part of this big launch. It offers similarities to the company’s T3x centerfire rifles while also meeting a rapidly growing demographic of competitive rimfire shooters. That means it could easily pull double duty as both a competitor and training partner.
The T1x Ace Target looks much like its larger centerfire kin at first glance. It uses a single-stage target trigger, 45-degree bolt throw, and detachable 10-round magazine in the unique magwell. Barrel lengths of 16 and 20 inches are available. Each cold-hammer-forged barrel is threaded and free-floating.

National Rimfire League shooters should take note because this one is a contender for NRL22 events.
T3x Ace Target: Centerfire
Building on the demand for long-range, PRS-style rifles, the T3x Ace Target offers the heaviest build of Tikka’s Ace trio. It boasts a free-floating, cold-hammer-forged heavy barrel designed to resist vibration and withstand the heat of high-volume shooting.

The barrels are threaded at 5/8x24 TPI for suppressors or brakes. There’s a two-stage adjustable trigger with pull weights from 2 to 4 pounds. A 10-round metal magazine comes standard, but that modular magwell design opens up other possibilities as well.
Weights for the new offerings hover around 10.4 to 10.8 pounds, with barrels up to 26 inches. This one looks squarely set on the PRS and NRL games.
T3x Ace Game
The Tikka T3x Ace Target, bottom, is significantly heavier than the T3x Ace Game hunting rifle on the top. The T3x Ace Game can be had in .223 Rem, .22-250 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, 6.5 PRC, 7mm Rem Mag, and .300 Win Mag. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
Just when you thought it was all about target shooting and competitions, here’s one for the hunters who demand a high level of precision. The T3x Ace Game is a rifle that bridges the gap between ringing steel and chassis-style hunting.
Though the T3x Ace Game shares many similarities with the Target, it offers hunters a lighter weight and a fluted medium-contour barrel. It will come with an adjustable single-stage trigger in multiple barrel lengths.

While it’s marketed more toward hunters, the Game remains hefty, with unscoped/unloaded weights falling between 8.8 and 9.3 pounds. It looks and feels like a rifle for the bench, hunting stand, or a combination of both.
Final Thoughts
Tikka has long built a solid reputation around its bolt-action hunting and target guns, so expectations start high for the X-ring potential of all three Ace variants. The increased specialization and fuller features come at costs higher than other T1x and T3x variants.
It’s still not a bad entry point into a serious precision rifle. Retail pricing comes in at around $1,649 and $1,899 for a rifle that shouldn’t require much – if any – work.
