Weatherby Celebrates 80 Years with Limited Edition Mark V Rifle
Roy Weatherby founded his now iconic rifle company in 1945, and to mark the occasion, the family-owned firearms company is continuing his legacy with an 80th Anniversary Mark V model.
Using a precision-machined, engraved ultralight Mark V titanium action with a custom-engraved bottom metal set in an exhibition-grade Monte Carlo walnut stock with rosewood caps and maple spacers, the rifle is designed to be a work of art. It also features a tensioned carbon fiber barrel with an engraved Accubrake DST, a zero-creep, crisp-breaking TriggerTech trigger, and a straight-fluted bolt. Chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum, it has a 24-inch barrel with a 2-inch brake and ships in a custom hard case.

The heart of this rifle is its precision-machined, ultralight Mark V titanium action.
The tensioned carbon fiber and engraved barrel offer reduced weight, excellent heat dispersion, and consistent precision. "This is our first time using a carbon barrel in combination with a wood stock, blending current technology with the timeless warmth and beauty of walnut. This rifle is guaranteed to shoot SUB-MOA," says Weatherby.
This classic Monte Carlo stock is made from high-grade walnut with rich grain and a hand-rubbed oil finish. It features rosewood caps with maple spacers on the grip and forend, along with detailed checkering for a secure hold.
The stainless-steel trigger guard and bottom metal are both detailed with custom engraving.
Each rifle is individually numbered with a custom prefix 80, marking Weatherby's 80th anniversary.
In addition to the rifle, Weatherby will be shipping throwback retro ammunition boxes.
The rifle is as much a salute to founder Roy Weatherby as it is to the company that carries his name.
The price of the Weatherby 80th Anniversary Mark V is $12,499, with preorders being taken now for a limited number of guns shipping at the end of the year.
