Beretta debuted a new variant of its 15+1 capacity threaded barrel 80X Cheetah this week, available in a flat dark earth colorway.

The company announced the updated Cheetah .380 at SHOT '23, utilizing an optics-ready slide and a slim Vertec-style frame with a Picatinny accessory rail. It also sported an adjustable X-treme S Double/Single action trigger, a 13+1 flush-fit capacity, and a skeletonized hammer.

Beretta introduced a Tactical variant earlier this year, upping the features with a suppressor-ready extended threaded barrel and extended 15+1 round magazines. Only available at launch in a black-on-black format, the company now has the 80X Cheetah Tactical in an earthier model dubbed the Tactical Desert.

Using a direct blowback action, it runs a 4.4-inch barrel, giving it an overall length of 7.5 inches. The unloaded weight is 25 ounces due to an alloy frame and a steel slide and barrel. (Photos: Beretta)

The barrel is threaded in 1/2x28 TPI. The optics cut and corresponding plates will support the Holosun K-pattern (407K/509K) as well as the Shield-pattern and the Noblex Docter footprints.

"The 80X Cheetah Tactical delivers performance upgrades that shooters have been asking for while staying true to the comfort and shootability that made the original Cheetah iconic," said Logan Killam, Sr. Pistol Product Manager at Beretta USA. "With the new FDE finish, it brings a modern edge to a timeless platform."

Beretta will have the 80X Cheetah Tactical Desert available with 15, 13, and 10-round magazines to cover those in restrictive states. The MSRP starts at $749.
