Banish & RMEF Collaborate to Launch Backcountry Bugle Suppressor
Suppressor manufacturer Banish partnered with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to support wildlife and habitat conservation with the launch of its Backcountry Bugle suppressor this week. Tailored specifically for hunters, the Backcountry Bugle is built on the ultralight titanium Banish Backcountry quiet can.
The newly branded Backcountry Bugle is rated for up to .30-caliber magnum cartridges and features a laser-etched RMEF logo. It offers a compact, multi-caliber suppressor option tailored for big game hunting, and a portion of every sale goes to supporting RMEF’s hunting and conservation mission.
“Hunting and conservation are key parts of the culture at Banish,” said Brandon Maddox, Banish Suppressor’s founder and CEO. “From the very beginning, we have worked hard to support conservation and pro-hunting efforts, and RMEF has always been a great partner. We are really excited to work with them on the Backcountry Bugle. Not only is it a premium hunting tool that will protect hearing and reduce recoil, it also directly supports the work being done by RMEF to conserve elk and promote big game hunting across the U.S.”
The can features six baffles, with a total length of just 5.5 inches and a width of 1.6 inches. There’s a dual-layer Cerakote finish for weather and heat resistance, and the laser-etched RMEF logo stands out in relief against the Black Gun Kote finish. (Image: Banish Suppressors)
Banish’s Backcountry Bugle can handle thumping calibers up to .300 RUM while weighing in at just 8 ounces, thanks to the all-titanium construction. Decibel reduction comes to 138 dB or less with .300 Magnum calibers.
Breaking that down by a few common calibers, you get a rating of 138 dB for .300 RUM and 137 dB for .300 Winchester Magnum. This suppressor’s total caliber range stretches from .204 Ruger to .300 RUM, which nicely covers most hunting needs for medium to large game.
“We’re excited for the release of the Banish Backcountry Bugle because not only is it a suppressor optimized for hunting, but it also supports RMEF’s mission to conserve big game, enhance habitat, and improve access,” said Kyle Weaver, RMEF president and CEO. “This partnership with Banish Suppressors will benefit today’s hunters along with the future of our hunting heritage as we continue to conserve one square mile of big game habitat every day.”
Finally, Banish and RMEF are offering a one-year membership to RMEF with the first 200 Backcountry Bugle suppressors sold. All Backcountry Bugles are backed by Banish’s lifetime warranty. These cans are also HUB-compatible and ship with a 5/8x24 TPI direct-thread adapter.
