Eighty years ago, three divisions of United States Marines and their Navy Corpsmen, joined by the Army’s 147th Regiment, stormed the sulfurous black sands of a then little-known island called Iwo Jima. 

The five-week battle that followed was bloody, and nearly 7,000 Americans would never see home again. Another 20,000 were wounded. To commemorate the extreme sacrifices made by American service members on Iwo Jima, Auto-Ordnance and the artists at Altered Arsenal teamed up for this commemorative 80th-anniversary Iwo Jima M1 Carbine.

Meticulously detailed, this classic M1 Carbine’s walnut stock is inscribed with the individual names of many of the thousands of Americans who fell during the battle. Iconic imagery from the battle itself further adorns the rifle, such as the flag raising on Mount Suribachi, a map of the battlefield, and military symbols.
 

Chambered in .30 Carbine, this limited-edition M1 Carbine is fully functional and closely mirrors the carbine used by many of the Marines, sailors, and soldiers who fought on Iwo Jima. A version is available with either a 10-round (AOM140C4) or standard 15-round magazine (AOM130C4), depending on your state’s laws.
