Nevada-based Franklin Armory unveiled the “world’s first” Total Round Control bolt-action rifle with the launch of its Prevail line for 2026.

The new guns will be on display for the first time at SHOT Show 2026 in Las Vegas, starting next week.

Franklin Armory’s patent-pending Total Round Control system controls every round through the entire shooting cycle, from feeding and chambering to firing, extracting, and ejecting. This solves the problem of choosing between affordable but less reliable push-feed systems and controlled-round-feed systems.

Push-feed actions simply push the round into the rifle’s chamber without positively controlling the cartridge as it moves along the loading path. Controlled-feed systems actively grab a cartridge and hold it as the bolt moves forward to chamber the round.

The push method is easy to make and fast to run, but it can lead to double feeding and other reliability issues. That’s especially true when running the bolt fast or shooting in non-standard positions. The TRC system essentially blends the push-feed speed with controlled-feed reliability.

“We engineered a truly innovative bolt-action feeding system that uniquely combines the most effective design features from push-feed and controlled-round-feed actions,” said Franklin Armory President Jay Jacobson. “Total Round Control and our inaugural Prevail model configurations offer a new paradigm for hunters and precision shooters who desire the best in function and performance.”

The new Prevail rifles will be available with a Franklin Armory Fidelis carbon-ceramic-wrapped precision barrel or a stainless-steel, fluted, magnum sporter barrel.

Other features include Franklin Armory’s adjustable Remington 700-compatible Conquest trigger, user-interchangeable bolt heads with toolless disassembly, carbon-fiber stocks with custom V-block bedding, and 20-MOA Picatinny scope rails.

Calibers include .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, and .300 WSM. We have not seen an MSRP just yet.
