FN came to SHOT Show 26 in Las Vegas last week with its new suppressor series designed and optimized for all SCAR models, new and legacy.

Long a sore point to SCAR users who, if they used a muffler, voided their warranty, not only is the new generation of rifles suppressor-ready, but FN also has a new series of low backpressure, forward-venting cans with reduced recoil and gas blowback. Versatile, with a direct thread or quick-detach FN mount, they are HUB-compatible, which brings joy. Best yet, they implicitly work on all SCAR rifles.

All of the new models are 3D-printed from Inconel superalloy with stainless-steel blast chambers and high-temperature C-Series Cerakote for enhanced durability, available in either black or FDE.

The two models are the QD556 and QD762.

The QD762 is 1.62 inches in diameter, 8 inches long, and weighs 21 ounces. The MSRP is $1,399. In addition to 7.62 NATO/.308 Win, it is rated for 6.5 CM, 7.62x39, .300 BLK, and .300 MAG. (Photos: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
The QD556 is 1.62 inches in diameter, 7.69 inches long, and weighs 20.9 ounces. The MSRP is $1,299.

FN says the new cans are full-auto certified and tested to 10,000 rounds and beyond, exceeding SOCOM SURG requirements for durability and reliability.

Further, when tested on SCARs, they had a less than 1MOA point of impact (POI) shift in accuracy from the host rifle and ran, on average, 149 dB on the QD556 and 145 dB on the QD762.
