New: Savage Rimfire Model 110 .22 LR Bolt-Action Rifle Series
Savage has switched from centerfire to .22 LR rimfire for its newest entries into its iconic Model 110 bolt-action rifle series.
The new RF (as in rimfire) line isn't just borrowing the name of its big brothers. The rifles are built on the proven blueprinted Model 110 action. This means they are generally capable of using stocks and accessories designed for any standard short-action Savage 110 rifle.
The all-new Savage 110 RF line rifles include a 20-MOA Picatinny rail for optics, threaded (1/2x28) precision button-rifled barrels with a custom .22 LR match chamber, a standard 5/16x 24 threaded bolt handle compatible with aftermarket knobs, and the Savage's hallmark user-adjustable AccuTrigger. Further, the rifles use a bolt with a reversible front baffle that allows users to adjust the bolt throw length from .308 Win (for use as a trainer) or the shorter and faster .22 LR throw in under 30 seconds. A 10-round L3i detachable AICS-style magazine is standard.
The 110 RF Core Tactical features the same AccuFit V2 stock, Platinum Cerakote, and precision AccuTrigger as the centerfire 110 Core Tactical, but is purpose-built as a rimfire rifle that's comfortable for an adult user. The Savage 110 RF Core Tactical is the base model for the series, but is still pretty rich in features, including a user-adjustable stock and trigger, AICS-style magazine, top 20-MOA Pic rail for optics, and a 20-inch button-rifled barrel with a threaded muzzle. The MSRP is $1,099.
The 110 RF Magpul gets its name from its Magpul Hunter series stock. The company feels the rifle "offers precision rimfire performance in a rugged, reliable package that's an excellent choice for taking care of varmints around your property or ringing steel on the range."
The Savage 110 RF Magpul has an adjustable Magpul Hunter stock and runs a 20-inch barrel. The MSRP is $1,199.
The 110 RF Elite Precision is the top-shelf rifle of the new RF line. Running a MDT Sporting Goods Gen 2 ACC Premier chassis and shipping with an installed Competition AccuTrigger, the rifle is built to maximize accuracy.
The new Savage 110 RF Elite Precision runs a 22-inch barrel and MDT Gen 2 ACC Premier chassis. The MSRP is $2,399.
