Springfield Armory has been hard at work bringing both classic designs and modern tactical firearms to life for 2026.

We visited the company’s booth at the NRA Annual Meeting in Houston this year to get our hands on the new bolt-action 2020 Heatseeker pistol, Saint Victor PDW in 9mm, and classy Garrison Target 1911s that just dropped.

This new pistol variant of the precision Heatseeker bolt-action rifle sports a 12-inch threaded barrel topped with a ported muzzle device. Chambered for .308 Win, this 2020 Heatseeker pistol is decked out with features.

The trigger is adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds, and the removable box magazine can hold five rounds. This pistol variant is also rolling out of Springfield’s factory with a black finish instead of the Coyote Brown Cerakote currently found on the Heatseeker rifles.

The new Garrison Target 1911s are made with forged-steel frames, slides, and barrels. They are available in both .45 ACP and 9mm, and the rear sights are adjustable for windage and elevation.

Springfield added a host of other improvements over the legacy 1911s, such as low-profile/high-visibility sights, an extended thumb safety, and thin-line grips. Additional upgrades include a match-grade stainless-steel barrel, a skeletonized hammer, lightening holes in the trigger, and an extended beavertail grip safety complete with a memory bump.

Saint Victor PDW

Expanding on the company’s popular Saint Victor line, this new PDW runs on Colt-pattern 9mm magazines. We already have a full review of this bad boy, and it is well-made, reliable, accurate, ambidextrous, and feature-rich.

The gun sports a 5.5-inch barrel and a B5 Systems pistol grip. The controls should be very familiar to anyone who has fired an AR-15, but the compact size makes it a great option for close-quarters or home defense needs.
