How To Properly Photograph Your Gun

Before you begin:

  1. Make sure your firearm is unloaded, pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger.
  2. Locate a plain and clean background if available. You can't go wrong with a table top or kitchen counter.
  3. You can use a cell phone and either submit your gun via your phone or email the photos to yourself to upload via desktop or tablet.
  4. Make sure you are in a lighted area.

What photos are needed?

  1. RIGHT SIDE: Lay your firearm on the surface on its left side (your left) to photograph the right side.
  2. LEFT SIDE: Lay your firearm on the surface on its right side (your right) to photograph the left side.
  3. DETAILS/ACCESSORIES: If you have a detail you want to highlight, accessories or any damage on the firearm, you can use the 3rd photo spot to highlight these features.
