The Marlin 1895 Guide Gun .45-70 Govt pairs traditional lever-action reliability with modern enhancements designed for real-world hunting conditions. The included Crimson Trace Red Dot allows rapid, both-eyes-open target acquisition, making it especially effective in dense timber or fast follow-up shot situations. Adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights and a brass bead front sight with hood remain in place for backup or co-witness capability, offering flexible aiming solutions in the field.
Built as a rugged lever action hunting rifle, it features a cold hammer-forged alloy steel barrel with a 1:20" RH twist for consistent accuracy and long-term durability. The 11/16"-24 threaded muzzle includes a factory-installed thread protector for muzzle device compatibility, while the polished bolt promotes smooth cycling. A gray laminate buttstock and forend with sharp checkering provide stability in harsh weather, and the oversized lever loop, soft rubber buttpad, cross-bolt safety, and traditional half-cock hammer round out a dependable big game platform.
