The Prodigy takes the the proven 1911 platform and enhances it with modernized design features that include double-stacked magazines and industry-standard 9mm chambering. The pistol features a forged steel frame with a corrosion-resistant polymer grip for the perfect balance of toughness and weight. The AOS (Agency Optic System) model utilizes proprietary optic mounting plates for the Prodigy and allows for optimal optic height with an included rear sight. The Prodigy can be used with either OEM Springfield Prodigy magazines or Staccato 2011 magazines.
This model is a capacity-compliant version and features a black Cerakote finish and a 5-inch barrel. Two 10-round magazines are included along with Springfield's signature soft carry case.
