The Viper Max is built on a reliable gas piston action designed to cycle a wide variety of shells from target shot to heavy waterfowl loads. The shotgun comes with a light and heavy load piston which can be changed out for more reliability when cycling specialized loads. The spare piston can be carried in the forearm, allowing for easy swapping in the field. The Viper Max comes with 4 Beretta®/Benelli® Mobil Chokes (SK, IC, M, F) as well as over molded rubber grips on the stock and forearm for added comfort. Newly developed recoil pad and swivel studs also included.
This model features a custom Max-7 camouflage pattern developed by Real Tree. It is chambered in 12 gauge and features a 28-inch barrel and a 3-inch chamber. A magazine plug is included for reducing the maximum capacity to meet compliance with local hunting laws.
*The manufacturer recommends using the light piston for 2.75-inch shells and the heavy piston for 3-inch shells.*
