For more than two centuries, Remington Arms has built quality products that are backed by innovative ideas and an untamed spirit, resulting in a long line of legendary firearms. Over the years, the company has supplied arms to the military, and today, they have multiple facilities where an array of products are produced for the military, law enforcement, and civilians alike.
Remington remains one of the industry’s top manufacturers, offering products for hunting, shooting sports, and self-defense. Handguns range in size from pocket pistols to full-size, with smaller calibers like 380 ACP to the larger caliber 45 ACP.
Although Remington has produced revolvers and pistols in the past, today the company manufactures about half a dozen handguns, most with numerous variants available. Among the most popular pistols are the 1911, R51, RP, and RM380.
The Remington Model 1911 is currently manufactured in three different models – the 1911 R1, 1911 R1 Enhanced, and the 1911 R1 Carry. All are fashioned after the classic M1911 and made with a steel frame, match-grade steel barrel, checkered grip, and skeletonized trigger. The 1911 R1 is chambered in 45 ACP and 10mm, the 1911 R1 Enhanced is chambered in 45 ACP and 9mm Luger, and the 1911 R1 Carry chambered in 45 ACP. The 1911 R1 Enhanced and 1911 R1 Carry both feature a grip safety, while the 1911 R1 Carry is dehorned for easier concealed carry. All three handguns are available in a number of variants with different features.
An upgraded and modernized version of the Remington Model 51, the R51 is a sub-compact, semi-automatic handgun chambered in 9mm and rated for +P ammunition with a 7+1 capacity. It is made with an aluminum frame and stainless steel slide, and offers an optimized grip handle and slim profile, making it ideal for concealed carry.
Chambered in 45 ACP and 9mm Luger, the Remington RP is designed to deliver accuracy alongside control. It is made with a polymer frame, 410 PVD coated stainless steel barrel, and a slim grip.
Ideal for concealed carry, the RM380 is a micro-pistol chambered in 380 ACP with a 6+1 capacity. It is built on an aluminum frame and features a stainless steel slide, glass-filled nylon grips, and checkered front straps. It is lightweight, slim, and offers a snag-free design.
With dozens of models available, the price of Remington handguns differs significantly.
The Guns.com inventory includes new and used Remington handguns for sale at competitive prices. The 1911 R1, 1911 R1 Enhanced, and the 1911 R1 Carry are available in the $500 to $700 range, while other 1911 models go for well over $1,000.
