Livio and Sean down at Battlefield Vegas share tribal knowledge on the FN M240B general purpose machine gun, which speaks in belt-fed 7.62x51mm NATO.

A variant of the classic Vervier-designed Belgian FN MAG 58, which preceded the 240 by a couple decades, the gun in U.S. service replaced the M73, M219 and M60 machine guns over a 20 year period and Livio had the fortune to hump one in Iraq while winning hearts and minds a while back.

The Battlefield Vegas guys do the gun justice, walking you through an in-depth field strip to show function and nomenclature, giving some tips on weapon manipulation, and then of course, ripping a belt out on the range.
