Kansas-based CZ USA this week announced two new SP-01 Competition pistol variants, the logically named Red and Blue.

Each comes standard with corresponding red or blue aluminum grips with matching +4 extended magazine base pads that supply the 9mm race guns with a 21+1 capacity. The pistols feature a 4.6-inch cold hammer-forged barrel that gives the guns an 8.15-inch overall length. Using a competition hammer and light mainspring to produce a light trigger pull, they come from the factory with a fiber optic front sight and serrated rear.

"Both left- and right-hand shooters love the SP-01’s ergonomic design," notes CZ USA about the new pistols series. "The grips fit equally well in either hand, and the pistol’s ambidextrous safety is comfortably positioned at the rear of the frame directly above the grip. An under-barrel rail accepts an array of accessories from lights to lasers, all of which enhance the pistol’s utility and give it a one-of-a-kind look."

The new SP-01 Competition Red & Blue have an asking price of $1,305 and ship with two nickel-plated magazines with extended aluminum base pads.
