After announcing the new titanium-hybrid suppressor was inbound late last year, this month's SHOT Show was the first public outing for the new FN Rush 9Ti.

Developed as an ideal companion for the company's FN 509 Tactical line of pistols-- which come standard with extended threaded barrels-- the Rush 9Ti uses standard 1/2-28 TPI threads to mate with most common suppressor-ready handguns. Weighing just 10.8 ounces, the new can is 7.3 inches overall with a 1.375-inch tube diameter. The construction includes an aircraft-grade aluminum mid-baffle stack inside a titanium tube while the blast and tulip baffles are of high-heat stainless steel.

FN says the Rush 9Ti works with the "widest variety of factory-loaded ammunition from budget 9mm 115-grain ammo up to 165-grain subsonic loads." (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
While it pairs nicely with the FN 509 Tac series, it direct threads on 1/2-28 TPI barrels, making it ideal for just about any 9mm pistol. (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
It includes an internal booster and piston assembly so that it will function on tilting barrel pistols, with company officials last week explaining to Guns.com that the system is tuned well to run with the 509 and minimize back pressure to the user's face. (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)

Available in both black and FDE, the MSRP on the new FN Rush 9Ti suppressor is $849, regardless of color, tax stamp not included.
