B&T USA and SureFire announced a new agreement Monday providing B&T with exclusive rights to manufacture suppressors that mount to SureFire's patented SOCOM Fast-Attach line of suppressor-mounting muzzle devices.

In a press release, B&T explained that while SureFire's SOCOM Fast-Attach mounting design remains proprietary and patented, the collaboration will mean additional muzzle device options for B&T customers and more suppressor options for SureFire muzzle device customers.

“This is the culmination of a decades-old partnership between SureFire and B&T, and an exciting step toward more options for both customer bases,” B&T stated in the release.

B&T’s Rotex-X suppressor is compatible with SureFire’s line of SOCOM muzzle devices. It’s based on – and 20 percent lighter than – the Rotex-V, which has been adopted by most western NATO allies. A retail price tag of $675 makes it a “pretty sweet deal on a suppressor with a huge professional following and no barrel-length restrictions, that is full-auto rated,” according to B&T’s Chris Mudgett.

Founded in 1991 in Switzerland as Brügger & Thomet AG, the Swiss suppressor manufacturer has evolved into a full firearms and accessories company with its U.S. headquarters in Tampa, Florida. From the Advanced Police Carbine (APC) line recently adopted by the United States Army, to the new 9mm Universal Service Weapon (USW) and USW conversion kits, B&T products are used globally by police, special forces, and elite military units.
